Before reading the two assigned chapters I was excited to get a small break from hand-coding. However, after reading these two chapters I realize this is not going to be as easy as I thought. The information within the book highlights the importance of having a solid background of hand-coding before jumping into a program like Dreamweaver. Which is semi comforting because the last class assignment was all about pushing my way through hand code.
The first chapter outlines basic HTML information that we learned in class and with past course readings. I found this chapters information a lot easier to digest after the personal webpage assignment. At the end of chapter one common Adobe practices such as opening a new document are explained and shows the correct files to start.
In the second chapter we learn step by step how to create a new site. From this chapter alone I can see that I will enjoy using this book as a guide because the formatting of instructions. Each chapter gives detailed explanations of how to do a specific task and also shows image examples of how the code should look.
Overall I am excited but nervous to start coding in Dreamweaver because I still feel like there is so much of the basics I need to learn. However with the books easy to follow instructions I hope Dreamweaver turns out to be a huge help in making code more simple to understand.
