Now that I've struggled through the ordeal of hand-coding a page, Dreamweaver seems like it's going to be amazing! Not having to deal with every little piece of the code will streamline the process and allow me to make pages as pretty as I want them to be. Yay! On a more serious note, I really like that Dreamweaver is so closely integrated with Photoshop, which makes image handling immensely easier. I also like the idea of LiveView, which offers a much more dynamic way to get a preview of how a site will actually look once it goes to the web.
Control and organization seem to be a major perk of Dreamweaver as well. Being able to see all of the options laid out in front of me definitely excites my inner designer. Also, my inner scatter brain likes the way Dreamweaver keeps all of my images and files in one place once I set it up. I love how easy it is to add pages to a site, and the simplicity of editing files without messing everything up once they're inserted into the site.
After reading through this, Dreamweaver seems pretty easy to use. I'm familiar with the other Adobe CS programs, so I think I'll be able to find my way around the interface pretty easily. Dreamweaver will be an awesome tool that will allow me to push my design skills a little since I don't have to put as much of my focus on the little details of code. I think knowing some of the basics will be super helpful though, and understanding what it's like to code by hand gives me a whole new appreciation for this program!
