More CSS!

These two readings offered further tips and examples of using CSS. The more I see examples of CSS code, the less terrifying the whole concept becomes, which is great! I'm starting to see more and more ways that using CSS will be really great in actually designing and coding my client webpage. As I said in my previous post, CSS opens up a ton of new doors when it comes to the design choices that I have at my disposal.

I especially enjoyed Dave Ragget's piece because it showed code for many of the basics of CSS. These will be extremely helpful when it comes to coding the client site. It's always nice to have a reference to look back on when I'm trying to make heads or tails of my code as I'm starting out. The color swatches will also come in handy, even if they are pretty limited. Still, they offer a nice base to work from at the least. The HTML.net article helped to reinforce the structure of CSS code. Knowing the syntax helps me to understand exactly why the CSS code is what it is. I also liked the external style sheet diagram, as it put the function of the sheet in visual form. Having the power to make changes across multiple pages makes life immensely easier, so I'm looking forward to trying an external sheet out!
