Under Water DreamWeaving
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little overwhelmed by all of this new information and the new assignment. It was probably a mistake to look over the new assignment before moving on to reading the Dreamweaver pages because I was started to panic a bit when looking at the things that the client site needed to include. After opening up the book and reading the Dreamweaver lessons, I calmed down a bit. I realized that with Dreamweaver you could do much more with a site and it is much easier than just writing line after line of HTML code. Using Dreamweaver and CSS is only going to help with my web design and this book has very helpful tutorials on how to do a lot of stuff in Dreamweaver. I will probably be referencing this book just as much as I referenced the w3schools site. I thought it was nice that Dreamweaver was going to make it easier to insert images, videos, etc. Lesson 2 was also filled with a lot of helpful information about how to save and organize your files (which will be very helpful for me because I am HORRIBLE with file management). The only other design class I have taken is graphic design, so a lot of this is new to me and I feel as if a lot of other people in the class have so much experience with it because they've been working with similar stuff the entire time they've been at Tech, but I think that this class and this material is going to give me a competitive advantage in my department. I've been looking at jobs a lot recently because I am graduating in May, and a lot of people hiring for marketing want you to have experience with web design, HTML, CSS, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and various other design components. Anyways, I am hoping that Dreamweaver will not only help me with web design, but also help me get that job that I need.
