One thing I noticed right away is that you thank the viewers for visiting the lab, not the website (or online presence) of the lab. Something to think about. :)
Also, what if you carried the colors from the center image throughout the site?
I noticed that the header is take up more by ISP and the picture instead of the actual name of the group. I don't know what ISP is, so from that perspective I would prefer to have the name larger then the acronym. However, I do like that picture; I'm not sure what it is but I think it makes an interesting design.
