Cascading Style Sheets for my HyperText Markup Language

For our first web page assignment, before reading these articles, I tried to utilize the “magic” of CSS to format and style my page. It was an experiment, a “learning” experiment. Now I feel more confident to use Cascading (hierarchy of importance) Style Sheets (CSS) to format and modify my Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) after having a more formal introduction.

I like how the article Creating Accessible CSS  explains that CSS is not magic, unlike how Dreamweaver explains itself. You should know about web design to maximize the effectiveness and use of your creations. I like how the article “tells it like it is” that web designers should just accept the fact that they do not hold all control over how their designs will be accessed. We must be comfortable enough to relinquish control (even though we don’t hold it in the first place) when it comes to accessibility. We should see the end user’s control as a benefit not as a hindrance.
