!Doctypo

Very nice, this was a bunch of fun readings.. I Evernoted a few of the links.
I really liked the 10 Useful Usability findings and guidelines. Some were a little more intuitive, some actually made a lot of sense. Some I thought the world already knew. Nonetheless, still good to read.

Learning about Doctypes is also pretty useful. After reading the article learning and seeing the headaches that older IE browsers create, I can see why no one really likes Internet Explorer, the earlier versions. It was interesting that he doctype element is found at the beginning of an HTML document, even before the <HTML> element. It was cool to see how the different browsers read that first line of code and it tells them how to render it.

With the boiler plate for HTML 5. What is a boiler plate? It seems to me like a straight forward template to build a W3C Validator deems as correct. But there is not much changed from the regular HTML to HTML 5. I understand that HTML 5 is supposed to be a great way for developing for mobile web but It looks pretty much the same. Going back from the website it just has the heading tag of <!HTML>

Yes, we are finally starting to get down to doing code. As a designer, I really cannot wait to apply alot of the tips and information I have read about. After reading our next major assignment, I am looking forward to doing some work.
