After reading through this reading, a few things became apparent to me. One, is that it is critical to be well- organized when developing an outline or plan for a website. From top level pages to second level pages, after absorbing all the details in the "Web Site Architecture 101" article I concluded that having a solid but flexible plan of attack is necessary when it comes to laying out the overall design of a webpage. I think that this could be a challenging thing for me at first, but I'm definitely looking forward to gaining solid experience.
Secondly, it is essential to keep the user or audience in mind when designing a webpage. As the article on design interface explained, it's all about the user's experience and how easy they find it to navigate the site and get good use out of it as a whole. Even paying attention to things I never would have thought about, like making the current page's link different from the rest so the user knows not to click on it again, seems extremely important when creating a web page. In addition, keeping things simple and clear is much more important than trying to be clever and overly creative.
Overall, I found all three readings beneficial for the ongoing process of learning and beginning to understand the web design world. The architecture 101 and design interfacing ones caught my attention much better than the "Web Architecture from 50,000 Feet" article, which I found quite dry but informative nonetheless.
