Scary HTML

From the boilerplate article it is about how HTML5 is not scary but is easy to use. The one thing that I found the most interesting was the link at the bottom for JS Bin. Just from the looks of it the JS Bin it seems like it would be a site that would allow you to play around with HTML5 but also programming languages like Java, CSS, Output, and Console just to get a better feel on how those languages work.

While the article for introduction to XHTML introduce the rules behind it. It talks about how the when programing that it requires the minimum amount of tags, elements must be nested and closed. While things must appear in lowercase. It also makes a point to establish the differences between XHTML and HTML.

Doctype explained clears up what the boilerplate and introduction to XHTML were referring to. Doctype refers to what type of HTML is being used. The doctype is found at the top of every page.

The last but least is how there are ten rules that makes websites well...good. Some of the rules that I found to be the most important was the rules about keep it similar to other sites, faces captures attention, and the fact that people never scroll down. The part apart about people never scrolling down was what I found to be the most interesting aspect just because usually when I check out a new site I do do a quick scroll down.

My conclusion from today’s readings is that although broiler point says not to worry about HTML5 and the intro to XHTML made it sounds not too bad. But after reading I still feel like it will end up being much scarier than how these articles made them sound.
