There are so many different codes for each little thing that you have to do that it is a bit overwhelming. I think the best way to tackle writing a web page for the first time is to take it slow and do things piece by piece. For my first assignment, I am going to try and keep things simple. When we were talking with other people on the first day of class that was the advice a student who had already taken this class gave me. She said not to try to go all out on the first assignment and to focus on learning how to write code and use all of the tools, rather than trying to develop a high end site on the first try. I'm excited to try writing code for the first time today and can't wait to see how it turns out.

Holy HTML code
Holy HTML code. The first thing I did when I opened these links was bookmark all three sites. These will be helpful when going to write code for the first time. Looking at all the different codes is one thing, but learning how to use them is something else entirely. Just for the heck of it I took the HTML quiz on the W3Schools site just to see how much I remembered after looking over all of the sites and I got a 12 out of 20, which is honestly better than I thought I would get. I think the best way for me to really understand how to write HTML code is going to be to try writing a simple web page (like we're going to do in class today).
