I like the header and the logo a lot. The grass is kinda cool in the background as well.
The red on the left menu is very bright, maybe try to change that to white or something less harsh. Also, the font is very large, and can be downscaled.
I really like the grass background. I like the grey but I'm not sure I like the red. Black on red is a little hard to read as well. Maybe use a white font on the navigation bad.
I love the grass background! So creative, makes me definitely think of a cemetary, places the audience right there! As mentioned in class maybe use some softer tones with some texture, also theres a little bit of too much space under the title on the header. As for layout, looking good, I like that the nav bar is on the left hand side.
Good job situating the audience with the ground theme. I think I would try browner or purpleier red or pull some of the green into the rest of the design.
Love the organization and the grass! Overall this is an excellent layout with a good feel. However, the red and gray is tough...try playing with other colors to provide more contrast if possible. Otherwise I like it!
The grass background is very cool. However, I don't think the overall color goes with it. I like that the big information is easy to see.

ReplyDeleteOne thing is that the red is a little harsh. Like Wendy said, look into using colors of the stones and/or the texture to draw colors off of.
I would keep the grays.
