My Draft

Click here to see my site. Note: please ignore the way the header jumps around; I've already decided to change it into an image.

My real question is how I can make the content of my the site look more aesthetically pleasing without taking away from the readability of it.

  1. The layout is simple and organized which is great. If you want to make it more aesthetically pleasing, maybe change the color scheme so that it's a little softer.

  3. I like the color of the site. Good use of white space. The menu bar text could be moved a little bit over from the green line.

  5. Strengths: very easy to follow layout, nice use of white space

Areas for Development:On your nav bar having the links butted up against the one side while there is so much white space to the left looks a little funny, you might want a little padding to the right of the nav

  6. Strengths:
    - Very easy to navigate
    - Very simple

    Area of Development:
    - Navigation bar seems too close to green bar
    - Logo is in a different spot in 'Gallery' and 'Important Links'

  7. Strength: It's very clear and simple to navigate right now.

Suggestion: Try using an external stylesheet to achieve greater visual consistency.

Question: Using padding to get elements away from edges.

  8. strengths: very useable, easy to navigate, simple

suggestions: Maybe think about reducing the width of the green bar next to the nav bar? or space it out more. it just seems a little awkward.

addressing question: use padding, use the colors in the picture to help with the color scheming

  9. Very clean page layout, soft use of colors contribute well to the page. The nav bar doesn't seem to fit really, perhaps having bars could help.

  10. I really like how easy to follow your site is. One thing I noticed is that your navigation bar runs into that green line so maybe add margins or padding to help with that.

  11. PRO:
    -great layout
    -use of white space
    -easy to view and navigate

    CON:
    -colors are harsh together
-lots of different style elements (bold, underlines, colored) simplify

  12. The layout is easy to follow and the color scheme works very well, though try to limit the number of colors. Though the navigation bar is a little close to the green line.

  13. The colors you chose reflect the flag logo in the corner, although you did have to go darker to improve it for the web. It is also simple to navigate.

For Meeting Schedule, some viewers may not know what "arts and sciences" is. Maybe have some examples on a different page of past events?

  14. Strengths: Very accessible and simple to navigate

Work on: Narrowing down the number of fonts and color. Also, you might play around with alignment and padding to better organize and create hierarchy within your page content,

  15. Strengths: All above the fold at least the way I'm looking at it - not a lot of scrolling necessary well done

Suggestions: Maybe some sort of border around the picture so it is not just "floating"

  16. The content looks great, very usable and concise (I dont even have to look at the code to know its beautiful!) As I suggested in class, you may just want to play around with some of your typefaces for words that wont be changing often, looks great!
