I really like the header that you have with the arrows and the trees. It's really cool. Only suggestion, your last link is hanging off of the brown so that it's in the white part which makes it disappear when you scroll up.
The color scheme is awesome. I really, really like it. However the trees in the background combined with the trees in the header makes it visually confusing when you scroll up and down. Maybe think about changing that. Also I like you are pointing to the location.
I really like the overall design of your site. It's really cool how you incorporated the UP into it. It's a very strong site and I'm sure you noticed that your text is flying off the screen. There's a really good video that helped me with my navigation bar and I can post the link if you'd like.

Obviously from what we saw in class there is a minor issue with the nav bar, but apparently Meridith has a youtube video for you to watch about that. I'll probably watch it too!
I kinda like how when you scroll up the middle area moves with your site. It obvious where you struggle with the menu bar. You do though have a strong design look with the background image and the header.
With regard to your code and the issue with the links, try using a separate div for just the image, a separate div for navigation, and another for content so you have more control over each piece individually. Hopefully being able to move the navigation bar without having to move the image as well will help you get the centering you're looking for?
LOVE the colors and graphics, really grabs the users attention and draws them in to find out more, only suggestion are the small things like aligning your nav bar over the center of the page and tad alignment issues, maybe even try to bring up some of the information so its above the fold. Looks great!

ReplyDeleteWork on: Moving the nav bar over so that "Industrial Fasteners" isn't floating off of the bar. That's really all I can think of!
