The world wide web or what I call it the internet is just as commonly known now as the telephone. That is because at this point everyone has heard about it. As the internet does have some ties to the telephone with the infamous dail up.
One of the most important part of the internet is hyperlink text. Hyperlink text is a reference to a text that a reader can follow directly to another source. Hyperlink is the link behavior of the web. It can connect articles to other articles.
Hyperlink is not new. It is actually older then the internet itself. It has it roots to India and the talmud. In these insists it is when it refers to another story within the book.
The newset roots of hyperlink is to Bush's Memex. The memex personalized information by linking it together based off of users' interactions. The memex involves either imputing codes or pulling levels to retrive information.
The article also touch on other interesting history about hyperlink. I only touched on the bare esstinels. I did touch on what interest me. That was India & the Talmud. I know if you looked else where in history you can see hyperlinks appearing because everything reference one another.
