Evolved WirEd Audience Users

Audience is important. If you are creating something then what you are creating something for someone to see. If you create something that was meant for yourself you are the audience. The article is about the  audiences for websites. Audiences of for websites are a new type of audiences. At least that how I see it. These audiences are interact the site. They use the sites to get information. They use the site to get the latest movies, music, or tv shows. Audiences also uses websites to do their online shopping. Also the formatting of The thing with websites there are issues with formatting. If a site is having problems with the formatting then chances are there was rendering problem. It is just an example. Using things like an user-agent could help provide information about who is viewing the site and what type of browser or even operating system help to better improve the site. What I concluded from this is what can be taken out of any other article about audiences. That is audiences are very important. Audience can shape what we create and by knowing how audiences perceive things we can make our creation better.

Almost three years ago Wired wrote an article about Google and their algorithms. Thing about the Wired article they touch on many key points that has been going around for awhile with Google. That after many years in the game of online searches they are still number one with holding 65% of the market shares. The article talked about the earlier history of how Google searches became what they are  by trail and error. A quote from the article about the trail and error that occurred was "Google’s synonym system understood that a dog was similar to a puppy and that boiling water was hot. But it also concluded that a hot dog was the same as a boiling puppy. (2)" By improving their algorithms it made them number one.

When design things one of the most important things about designing websites is keeping in mind where people eyes fall in order to better improve on what people click on. The main thing that I took out of the article was that eye movement usually was to the left of the center column.

The Evolution of the Web was an interactive timeline that allowed a user to experience the evolution of the internet. The Browsers & Technologies timeline shows all the changes of the browsers from when they first started and to where they are now. The second timeline shows the growth of global users and also the growth of global traffic over a 22 year timespan.

All four articles cover important aspects about websites and the internet. The one thing that can be taken out of it all is that audience is really a motivator for change. Audience changes how things are laid out on websites and what is covered.
